Hi Folks, Welcome to my website. The purpose of this website is to both display images and cover the equipment details of my foray into CCD astro imaging. I'm pretty much a newbie at this and hopefully my images will keep improving over time! I've been interested in astronomy from a very young age and have been actively pursuing it as a visual observer for the last 6 years. It's only recently however, as of April 2003 that I have started to take an interest in imaging.

Imaging the skies has turned out to be a completely different ball game to visual observations and generally requires a much higher accuracy of equipment setup with a lot finer tolerances. Coupled to this is the requirement to have a lot more wires, equipment and patience. At least half of the work in imaging occurs during the processing stage and this can make or break an image. As my skills in this fairly complex area advance, I will probably re-issue some of the images already here in their new and improved form.
